Work Hard.
Have Fun.
Play as a Team.
It has become increasingly difficult to maintain a youth softball program in our area that meets the expectations we have set and achieved. In fact, for various reasons it has become impossible. So rather than betray our approach and the success we've had, we will discontinue the Connecticut Rockets ... for now.
Our Program has enjoyed great success over a five-year run, winning 17 tournament championships, advancing to 36 tournament finals, and winning hundreds of games against the best competition we can find. From 2013 through 2017, no youth softball program in Fairfield County achieved as much as the Connecticut Rockets, and very few others across the state and all of New England can claim the same high level of success over that time period.
Connecticut Rockets players were named USA Elite Select Futures All-Americans, invited to exclusive USA Elite Select 30 Camps, ranked among the top players in the nation on FloSoftball's National Hot 100 lists, and have gone on to play at top national softball showcases and tournaments across the country. In Connecticut and New York, former Rockets have won multiple high school state championships, all-league honors and team awards. And we have begun to see Connecticut Rockets earning softball scholarships to colleges of their choice.
Our initial goals were to have fun, develop smart ballplayers, and earn respect from the softball community by teaching and playing the game the right way at the highest level possible. We've done that, and then some. We also annoyed a few people who are envious of our success. Certainly, we were not perfect, but we did our best to do the right thing for the right reasons, and we are proud of our efforts.
Keep working hard. Keep having fun. Keep playing as a Team!
Go Rockets!
Our Way or No Way
Our Philosophy is Simple
Work Hard. Have Fun.
Play as a Team.
All of our Connecticut Rockets are serious about
becoming the BEST softball players we can be.
We WORK HARD, and we have FUN!
We teach playing the game the right way,
with class and sportsmanship in a supportive
environment, in which the TEAM always comes first.
We have some of the best young softball players
from throughout the Northeast region who have
won multiple CHAMPIONSHIPS, but there are no individual "stars" on our Teams.
We play TOGETHER ... players, coaches and parents.

Building on Tradition
For years, many of our current players and coaches were known as the Redding-Easton Rockets, the nickname of our highly successful Redding-Easton Little League All-Stars and summer travel teams, which won multiple Connecticut District 1 and Fairfield County Fastpitch Softball League championships. Now with families from four different states, we are continuing that tradition as the Connecticut Rockets, under the Boys & Girls Club of Redding-Easton and Redding-Easton Softball.
Competing for Championships
Our Connecticut Rockets Teams are highly competitive. We do our best to uphold the Redding-Easton tradition of playing softball the right way, with teamwork, sportsmanship and fun, while giving 100 percent on the field against the best competition we can find. We have won multiple championships, and we are hungry for more!
Coaching the Right Way
With decades of combined experience coaching youth sports at a high level, our Connecticut Rockets Coaches include women and men who hold ASA/USA Softball and PONY/ASEP Softball coaching certifications, have played Division 1 college softball, and have coached teams to multiple championships. All of our Rockets Coaches work together to ensure we are teaching the game with effective concepts and methodologies that are consistent across all Rockets Teams. Our Rockets Coaches strive to build confidence among our players that will serve them well on and off the field for the rest of their lives.
